When you’re living in a dorm and tight on space, not to mention cash and time, streamlining your beauty routine is essential. The good news is you don’t need tons of products to look your best on campus this year. Save time, money and space by narrowing it down to these hair, makeup and skincare essentials.

  1. Neutral Eyeshadow Palette : Getting ready for class is super simple when you have all of your go to natural shades in one place. Layer on the darker shades for a date night or mixer, or stick to the lighter hues for class or your internship. ( Beauty Products )

2. Oil Blotting Pads : Stash them in your bag to stay shine free through a long day of classes.

3. Concealer : A good under eye concealer in the morning is definitely necessary for all those
late-night study seshes. And if you tend to break out, especially when you’re stressed, look for a concealer with zit-fighting ingredients like salicylic acid to conceal and heal zits at the same time. ( Beauty Products )

4. Dry Shampoo : This is a life-saver for adding volume and nixing grease when you don’t have time to wash your hair before class. Just spray some dry shampoo throughout your roots and you’re all set. It’s also a genius way to add volume and refresh a blowout fast. One of my favorite brands to use is Batiste because it comes in different shades, so you can find one to match your hair.

5. Waterproof Mascara : A quick swipe of mascara instantly opens up your eyes and makes you look more rested for even the earliest morning class. Layer it on to add volume and length for a night out. Pick a waterproof formula to keep it in place all day and night.

6. Tinted Lip Gloss : This product is perfect for class when you want to look nice and put-together,
but don’t want to make it look like you tried too hard. Look for one with moisturizing ingredients to fight chapped lips at the same time! ( Beauty Products )

7. Face Wash : Keeping your skin clean in college is so important. With crazy schedules, stress of exams and papers, and a sometimes less than stellar diet, you might find yourself breaking out more. That’s why it’s important to stick to a regular skincare routine, and most importantly, to wash your face before you go to bed every night. Look for one designed for your skin type and use it every night to keep pimples away. ( Beauty Products )

8. Makeup Removing Wipes : Going to sleep with your makeup on is one of the worst things you can do to your skin.  Stash some makeup removing wipes near your bed, so on nights you’re too lazy to wash your face, you can at least remove your makeup. They’re also a gentle and easy way to remove your eye makeup before washing your face.

9. Makeup Setting Spray : House parties get seriously crowded and hot. A makeup setting spray will keep your makeup in place no matter how hard you dance. Stash it in your bag to keep your makeup fresh throughout the day, too.

10. Tinted Moisturizer : A tinted moisturizer product is a great way to keep your skin
hydrated while giving it just the right amount of light coverage. It evens skin tone without the heavy feeling of foundation, and brightens up your complexion after a late night of studying.

11. Signature Perfume : A light scent you love will instantly make you feel (and smell!) amazing. Remember: Less is more when it comes to fragrance though, so stick to something light for class and just a spritz or two will do.

12. Sunscreen : It’s important to wear SPF all year round. Even when it’s cloudy, the sun’s rays can still damage your skin. If you hate how heavy regular sunscreen feels on your face or always forget to apply it, choose a moisturizer with SPF to make it easy.

13. Blush : A swipe of blush brightens your complexion and instantly make you look more awake for those early morning classes, no matter how late you were up the night before.

14. Acne Treatment : Even if your skin has always been pretty clear, the stress of starting college can cause you to break out. Make sure to have a spot treatment that contains pimple-fighting ingredients like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid on-hand to treat any zits that crop up and prevent new ones for forming.

15. Conditioner : It might be tempting to skip the conditioner, especially when you’re sharing a shower with 30 other girls on your floor, but even fine-haired girls should use conditioner every time they shampoo. Not only does it keep your hair soft and tangle-free, but it protects and strengthens strands.  If regular conditioner tends to weigh your hair down, try a lighter leave-in formula after you shower.
